Traditional parties have reached their limits. In order to face populism and outdated politics, we need a common political space for all pragmatic and progressive Europeans.

This is the reason of the creation of Volt: the first Pan-European party.

The effort lies on striving to empower people to change policies and unlock Europe’s potential.

We bring forward the necessary question-matters and make realistic proposals to solve the issues pertaining in all of Europe. Volt is active in more than 30 countries, encouraging citizens to rethink, and shape policies in their cities, states, and Europe as a whole.

We are a Pan-European, Pragmatic, and Progressive movement. We promote diversity, and at the same time we come together because of our common goals and values.

United Cyprus, in a United Europe

Volt Cyprus is here to participate in this great and important effort. The founding of Volt Cyprus, stems from the cooperation of active citizens and political organisations, based on their common principles and values: Europeanism, bi-communalism, and modernization.

Our top priority concerns the resolution of the Cyprus problem, and the federal evolution of our country. We firmly believe that the phenomena of corruption, the unfair distribution of privileges and immunities, the inoperative democracy and ascending nationalism are directly linked to the perpetuation of our national problem.

We aim to end militarization and division, promote reform and transparency of state institutions, and most importantly we aim in the unity of our land and our people, in a united, democratic, and strong Europe.

We work towards a united, federal Europe, where everyone enjoys equal opportunities to fulfil their talents and potential. We unite democratically and strive to create the conditions for a strong, responsible, and transparent European government, that acts in the interest of all European citizens.

We believe in reforming Europe and building an authentic European Democracy. We aim for a stronger European Parliament with the power to propose new laws and elect a European Prime Minister who will be accountable to all European citizens.

We believe we can shape Europe to become a society where the highest standards of human, social, environmental, and technological development are achieved.

It’s time for change! Together, we can create our own political group in the European Parliament in 2024.

Volt participated in the 2019 European elections for the first time with a pan-European campaign and a pan-European election program. We continue to grow! So far, over 100 Volters represent us at the local, regional, national, and European levels.
