Our principles

Modern and Democratic Education

We strongly believe that the active participation of Cyprus in the European Union is beneficial for all communities in the country, and is the key catalyst for the resolution of the Cyprus problem. We look forward to European integration and the deepening of EU institutions. We maintain a moderate ideological approach and oppose all forms of totalitarianism.

Peace and Reunification

We need an effective and technologically aware education system that promotes critical thinking, humanism, universality and democratic convictions, preparing the sound thinking and active European citizens of tomorrow.

Europeanism and Moderation

Our basic principle is an acceptable political solution of a bizonal bicommunal federation with political equality between the two communities of our country, Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots. But peace in Cyprus is not limited to a political solution. We believe that much can be done to lay the foundations for mutual understanding, empathy and recognition of past mistakes. The goal of sustainable, peaceful coexistence will guide every aspect of our actions.

Secularity and Universalism

We recognize the need for a complete separation of Church and State and for a social and institutional reform that promotes humanism, inclusion, integration, inclusion and peaceful coexistence, preparing citizens to create in a globalized and technologically demanding economic environment.

Science and Culture

We support rational economic growth that does not burden the ecosystem and leaves no one behind. We emphasize innovative business efforts, youth entrepreneurship, upgrading the tourism product and restructuring of agri-food production to make it an important pillar of the economy.

Modernization and the Rule of Law

We support scientists and artists in their efforts to raise the scientific, academic, technological, business and cultural level of our country, as an investment for future generations and as a foundation for peace and prosperity.

Development and Innovation

We look forward to the full democratisation and modernisation of institutions and services, and to a comprehensive response to the phenomena of corruption, corruption and clientelism. We support efforts for transparency in public affairs and for technological and digital upgrading of the relationship between the state and citizens, and generally aim for a rule of law that is accountable and responsible.

Human and Labour Rights

Our concern is to operate with respect to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to promote its provisions in our society, and to strive for the inalienable right of all to live in a political and social environment where human and labour rights are scrupulously respected and implemented.

Environmentalism and Sustainability

We aim at sustainable development, taking into account the protection of nature and promoting the self-sufficiency of the island, in accordance with the policies and declarations of the UN and the European Union. We join forces for greener cities to ensure the health of the inhabitants in a better environment, as climate change is the biggest threat of the 21st century.

Inclusivity

We support political decision-making by inclusive bodies. and we believe that political and social changes that required can only be achieved through the active representation of social groups on the basis of the principles that govern our action.
