15 July 1974
Fifty-one years after the coup, our position is clear:
We condemn the betrayal, invasion, occupation and crimes of both communities.

But we do not dwell on the past.
The real question is whether we can live together again in peace, security and dignity.
For us, the answer is yes.
We can and must reclaim our common future. It is the only way for us all to be safe in a united, free Cyprus, without barbed wire and divisions.
Reunification is not just an option. It is a necessity.
Only in this way can we improve institutions, strengthen the economy and have stability. For all Cypriots.
The past has taught us. The future belongs to us. Together.
