12 March 2025 - Legislative Regulation for the Management of Assets!
Tomorrow, a bill submitted by Volt MP, Ms. Alexandra Attalidou, to amend the Law on the Management of the Assets of Incapacitated Persons will be discussed in the Plenary Session of the House of Representatives.

The proposed legislative regulation aims to protect the rights and freedom of choice of citizens, by providing the opportunity for each individual to propose in advance the person they wish to manage their assets, in the event that they become incapacitated in the future.
Specifically, the bill provides that any person who has reached the age of 18, is not in a state of mental disorder and operates with free will, can declare themselves the person who they wish to assume the role of administrator of their assets.
In a statement, Alexandra Attalidou, underlined that:
“This specific legislative initiative is an important step towards strengthening the human rights and autonomy of citizens, ensuring that their choices are respected and that the management of their property is in the hands of people they trust.”
Volt actively supports the adoption of initiatives that ensure justice, transparency and the protection of the individual freedoms of Cypriot citizens, contributing to the creation of a more just society for all.
