Support for Yiannis Armeftis for the Mayorship of Limassol

In a meeting held with the mayoral candidate for Limassol, Yiannis Armeftis, and a delegation from Volt consisting of members from the Executive Council, the Political Council, and a local party support team, we had the opportunity to discuss the current issues affecting the city and its residents.

During the meeting, Mr. Yiannis Armeftis presented in detail his program for Limassol, outlining a vision to build a city for tomorrow—a smart, green, and welcoming city for its residents and visitors. A city that, while preserving its identity and character, will modernize to meet the needs of its citizens, promote and showcase its rich cultural heritage in historic neighborhoods, and unite diverse cultures and languages into a multicultural, contemporary European municipality. A city that will develop and coexist harmoniously with the environment, the sea, respecting public spaces, reducing traffic congestion, and implementing a realistic plan for sustainable urban mobility.

Following a proposal from Volt's Executive Council, the Political Council convened yesterday, unanimously deciding to support mayoral candidate Yiannis Armeftis for the Municipality of Limassol.

Where Volt's vision for progress and empowering the role of citizens, for more democracy, green, open, multicultural, and humane cities and communities, aligns with the visions of candidates in local government elections, Volt will stand united.
