1 March 2025 - Europe must protect the Republic and Ukraine
The cruel blackmail that we all saw on our screens directed at President Zelensky by Trump and Vance, not only marks a new era in international relations, but sends a message of danger to the European Union itself.
Today, more than ever, we must put forward the need for a stronger Europe, with a dominant role in the international balance, in ensuring peace and stability. We need to draw up our own strategy for a common foreign policy and a common European defense and security policy, within a framework of economic and technical rationalisation in defense spending, across Europe.
Only in this way will Europe be able to rely on its own strengths, to be able to ensure the security and prosperity of its citizens and to protect its borders, instead of tying its fate solely on the American chariot.
Only united and in solidarity can we Europeans claim geopolitical power in an increasingly unstable environment, and Volt is here to send this message.
