Volt welcomes the decision of the Council of Ministers to approve the amendments to the Legislation on Doctors, which strengthen disciplinary control, promote transparency and introduce the institutionalization of continuing education for doctors.
These new regulations now allow the deletion of a doctor's name from the medical register, the imposition of fines for practicing the profession without a valid license and the coverage of the costs of disciplinary proceedings. At the same time, the Medical Council is given the opportunity to establish regulations for continuing professional education, ensuring high-quality and safe medical care for citizens.
