According to data brought to light by the newspaper "Phileleftheros", 10% of our richest citizens owned 51% of the wealth in 2000, while in 2023 it reached 67%. A significant contribution to this was made by the Anastasiades government's golden passport party, which the DISY leadership continues to defend to this day, while we all know that in addition to discrediting the country internationally, it has made our cities inhospitable as it inflated the prices of rents and housing.

The most tragic thing is that the unequal distribution of the country's wealth continues to increase, which shows the reluctance of the current government to take measures to bridge inequalities.

At the same time that those responsible are trying to disclaim responsibility, Volt comes forward with pragmatic and applicable proposals. Both with its comprehensive proposal for tax reform which strengthens the lost incomes of the middle class and gives breathing space to low-wage earners who are not taxed, ensuring benefits for small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as with the proposals for incentives and disincentives to address the housing crisis.
