Natasa Ioannou is an Environmental Biologist and has been working in environmental NGOs and civil society organizations since 2014. Her professional experience includes implementing programs, campaigns and initiatives to address environmental challenges at local and international levels, with a focus on sustainability, energy democracy, biodiversity conservation and climate justice. She also manages projects, advocates for policies and organizes communities to promote systemic change and empower citizens.

With an academic background in Biology (BSc), Marine Environmental Management (MSc) and Environmental Policy (MA), Natasa works to promote environmental and social justice through civil society organizations at both national and European levels. Her experience includes roles at the NGO Support Centre, Friends of the Earth Europe and the Office of the Commissioner for the Environment in Cyprus, where she contributed to significant environmental policy reforms and participated in citizen initiatives. Her areas of expertise include environmental education and public awareness, empowerment of groups and communities, and advocacy for environmental justice.

In addition to her professional and political roles, Natasha serves as Assistant Secretary General of the Cyprus Ecological Movement, organizing the Pancyprian Beach Cleanup Campaign since 2019. Her passion lies in uniting communities to build a just, sustainable future for all.
