Evagoras is a marine scientist, biologist and oceanographer, with studies in Biology and Oceanography and specialisation in Sustainable Blue Economy. He has worked in research and applied marine biology research and operational oceanography, with an emphasis on marine ecology, biodiversity and sustainable management of marine resources, as well as an expert and consultant on blue growth and marine policy issues in the private sector. He is co-founder of the Enalia Physis environmental research centre, and is also a member of the Cyprus Environment Foundation (CEF) network as an expert in marine biology and blue growth, contributing to initiatives for nature conservation and sustainable development in Cyprus.

Since his school and university days, he has been active in trade unions and collective efforts, with consistent, voluntary participation in civil society actions. He is 46 years old and served in the military as a non-commissioned officer in the special forces. He has volunteered for environmental organisations in Greece and Cyprus, as well as within the framework of the UNESCO Chair in Human Rights and Democratisation, linking ecological awareness with human rights, democracy and peace.

He has been active for many years in the Group for the Modernisation of Our Society (OPEK), participating in interventions and public dialogue on the rule of law, Cyprus' European course and green-blue policies. He has been a volunteer saxophonist in the Paphos Philharmonic Orchestra for decades.

On a political level, Evagoras combines scientific knowledge with a European, progressive vision for Cyprus through his participation in Volt Europa and Volt Cyprus, the pan-European movement that promotes cooperation, transparency, sustainable development and a united, peaceful Cyprus within the European Union. He currently works on a fixed-term contract as a biologist at the Panagia Theoskepasti Gymnasium in Paphos, while continuing his professional, research and voluntary work for sustainable blue development, a strong civil society and a Cyprus that looks confidently towards Europe.
