Pieros Karoullas was born in Larnaca in 1995 and comes from Famagusta. Family conversations, silences and memories, along with a love for a homeland that was "unknown but real," shaped his motivation to search from an early age. His contact with people from other communities in Cyprus and the feeling that something was left unfinished led him to refuse to accept "the way things are" and to compromise. He works as a Project Manager in the family business, Pharmaceutical Trading Company, continuing a journey that began in his grandfather Andreas Karoullas' pharmacy in Famagusta in 1954.
He studied International Relations and European Studies to understand how decisions that shape societies and lives are made. For him, politics is not theory, but action that must stand the test of time and have a measurable impact on everyday life.
In 2022, he served as President of the "Famagusta for Cyprus" movement, which evolved into Volt, where he currently serves as Press Officer. He believes that only through the participation and active presence of citizens can the way be paved for a more just and reunited Cyprus.
