Sophia Vasiliou is a graduate of the University of Reading with a BSc in Human Geography and Economics and an MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins in the United States. She has many years of experience in market research, specialising in qualitative methodologies, and has worked with leading companies and organisations in Cyprus and abroad. He has implemented and analysed hundreds of socio-economic and political studies, gaining a deep understanding of the needs and challenges of Cypriot society. Today, he provides consulting services in this field, both in Cyprus and internationally.
At the same time, since 2023, after specialised training in the Netherlands, she has been offering Therapeutic Yoga services to people facing health problems - cancer, neurological and chronic diseases, autoimmune diseases, and women's health issues. Her daily contact with people who are fighting a di fficult battle for their quality of life has further strengthened her empathy and commitment to a more just, humane and inclusive society.
She served as a municipal councillor in Nicosia with the EDI (2002-2007), and in 2024 she was a candidate for the European Parliament with Volt. Today, she is a member of the party's Political Council, actively contributing to the formulation of modern European policies based on transparency, accountability and social progress. She envisions a country that supports every person, creates an environment of security, dignity and prosperity, invests in the future and creates opportunities for all - a vision she shares as a mother of two boys.
