Spyroula Mavrommati is an educator specialising in adult education and a researcher in language education and instructional design. She is a PhD candidate in Linguistics and holds postgraduate degrees in Adult Education and in Language Learning with Technology. She lives and works in Nicosia and has many years of experience teaching Greek and Turkish - the two o fficial languages of the Republic of Cyprus - to adult learners. Her work focuses on promoting multilingualism, intercultural communication, and adult education. She has participated in European and bicommunal educational programmes and initiatives. She is an active member of civil society and has been elected to the Committee of the Cyprus Teachers of English Association (CyTEA).

She was born in Nicosia, and her parents originate from Lapithos (Agios Theodoros parish) in the Kyrenia District and from Tymbou. Guided by a strong sense of responsibility and a firm commitment to a modern, forward-looking European political culture, she is running with VOLT in the Kyrenia District, focusing on education and bridging communication within Cypriot society.
