Yiannis was born in 1984 and grew up in Paphos, where he lives with his wife and two children. He completed his military service with the rank of Second Lieutenant and then studied Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom.
Upon his return to Cyprus, he joined his family business, which has been active in the tourism sector since 1987, where he still works. He was a member of the Paphos District Council of the Cyprus Scouts Association from his teenage years and for several years, first as a member and later as a scout leader and commissioner. He represented the Paphos District Scout Council on the Paphos Municipal Youth Council for two years.
In his free time, he enjoys the sea, reading literature and keeping up to date with current issues and problems in his city, as well as topics related to tourism, technology, the environment and international developments.
